Retainer of King Dimitri

Art by Miyajima Haru

Sacred Aegis

The younger of Duke Rodrigue Achille Fraldarius's two sons, Felix was not meant to bear the responsibilities of his family. Glenn, the elder of the boys, was his idol and a perfect knight. While Felix did grow to befriend his peers as a child, he was always in his brother's shadow and had a meek personality.Glenn's death was not how he wished to come into his own. The Tragedy of Duscur took the lives of King Lambert, Queen Consort Patricia, the young Sir Glenn, among many in their retinue. This served as a catalyst that destroyed his relationship with his father, whom he saw as more concerned with Glenn's service to the crown and honor than losing his son. Rodrigue looking after Prince Dimitri did not help the matter, leading Felix to feel like his brother was being replaced in the name of duty.He would come to despise the Prince even more upon seeing his wrath when leading a group to quell a rebellion in Western Faerghus. Felix's shyness developed into a bitter lone-wolf mentality, cutting out everyone else to make himself stronger.

The Shield's Successor
Azure Moon

Felix remains with the Blue Lions during his time at Garreg Mach, and joins with the Kingdom Army during the war. His father protects the Fraldarius territory while Felix battles on the front lines. On the promised day, the class reunites and finds Dimitri and the professor still alive. Felix has disdain for the prince until the events at Gronder Field, which nearly plunges him into despair. Once Dimitri begins to regain his senses, Felix finds new respect for him.The new Duke of Fraldarius swears himself to Dimitri, and after the war, they have a bond as close as the one held between Rodrigue and Lambert. This is Felix's default timeline.

Meandering Sword
Verdant Wind & Silver Snow

Felix was recruited into the Golden Deer or Black Eagles house, and once the war began, stayed with the Alliance or Church to battle the Empire. He'd given up hope on the prospect that Dimitri was alive and saw protecting the Kingdom as a losing battle thanks to Cornelia's machinations, instead going directly for the heart. He never meets the prince or his father in the Battle at Gronder, and despairs over their deaths.Felix swears bloody vengeance on Edelgard and her allies for all the suffering they've caused him and his loved ones. Once the war concludes, he abdicates his position as Duke Fraldarius, and becomes a wandering mercenary, striking fear into the hearts of many.

Oathbreaker Blade
Crimson Flower (Allied)

Felix was recruited into the Black Eagles house, but returned to the Kingdom when the war broke out. However, his stay was not long, as he could not overcome his spite for Dimitri and left his home behind. He accepted a commission by the Imperial Army to become one of their generals and turned on his former friends, hoping to create a better world that the "Boar" was incapable of. Despite his talk, he cannot bring himself to kill Ingrid or Sylvain, and begs for their live capture. At the war's conclusion, he partakes in the campaign against the Agarthans, slaughtering them without mercy to avenge Glenn.Afterwards, like in Verdant Wind and Silver Snow, he leaves for a life of battle.

Kingdom's Vanguard
Crimson Flower (Enemy)

Felix remains a member of the Blue Lions, and returns to the Kingdom when the war begins. Cornelia is quickly flushed out as a traitor due to the presence of the Church, allowing Dimitri to remain on the throne. He remains on the frontlines and protects Arianrohd alongside his father, refusing to back down. They both perish in the ensuing battle, acting as the King's Shields as father and son.

Trivia

🔵 - Azure Moon
🟡 - Verdant Wind
🔴 - Crimson Flower
⚪️ - Silver Snow

• 🔵 As per his paired endings, several details of Felix's life after the war are known. He grew a deep bond with Dimitri, serving as his right hand man. While he made sure to properly care for his own children and not make the same mistakes as his father, Duke Fraldarius became part of the royal family more or less, loving the King like a brother. When Dimitri did finally pass, it's said Felix's grief was more potent than even the Queen's.• 🔵 Felix and Sylvain rekindled their friendship after the war, truly returning to being best friends. They often visited each other's homes to boast about their latest accomplishments in friendly rivalry. Managing to keep the promise they made as children, both men in their old age passed away on the same night, territories apart. Neither could live without the other.• 🔵 Sometime in his adulthood (40s), Felix loses use of his sword arm while fighting off assassins in Fhirdiad, protecting his spouse. He doesn't regret it, having served his duty as a shield to his loved ones.• 🔵 Assuming Leonie survived the war, Felix frequently employs her mercenaries, and they become drinking buddies. The new Blade Breakers chose Fraldarius territory as their home base as a result.• 🟡⚪️ Felix frequently visits the Officer's Academy on his travels as a mercenary, and is always offered a position as an instructor, which he always turns down. If he were given a reason to stay, however, he would take up the job.• In any route which Felix is recruited by the Professor, he progresses to a Mortal Savant thanks to their unlocking of his hidden talent. Otherwise, he caps out at Swordmaster. He only ever attains a C+ in Reason, and squeaks through the exam thanks to an S in Swords.• Despite not having access to the Pegasus Knight class or any affinity for flying or lances, Felix learns the Darting Blow skill as an enemy as early as the Battle of the Eagle and Lion. This is due to his ancestor Fraldarius being a Falcon Knight, and watching Ingrid train.• 🔵 Felix inherits the Sword of Moralta from his father when they meet up in Ailel, the other heirloom of their family alongside Aegis.
• 🟡🔴 He also wields it during the Battle at Gronder or Siege of Arianrhod if not recruited.
• His other preferred sword, which he uses in all routes (and alongside the Sword of Moralta in Azure Moon) is a blade forged by Zoltan, which he bought may years ago.
• 🟡⚪️ In his paired ending with Sylvain, this is the blade sent to him after Felix's demise.
• Felix wanted to learn how to ride horses as a child, until getting kicked by Rodrigue's steed and getting a concussion. Thus, he remains on foot.• 🔵 Felix has a C Rank in Lances despite not using them primarily, mainly for sparring with Ingrid and Sylvain, and later Dimitri. After Rodrigue's death, he keeps his Blessed Lance as a secondary weapon, along with his blades.• 🔴 Despite all his posturing about choosing his own path and letting nobody stand in his way, he cannot bring himself to strike down Sylvain or Ingrid. Felix battles on the condition that they will be captured non-lethally. If either are killed, he stays with the Empire until the Agarthans are defeated, and then vanishes. Unlike his normal endings of becoming a mercenary, he's never seen again.
